Our
Military Moving Services

Alaska is home to numerous military bases — such as Fort Greely, Fort Wainwright, and Eielson Air Force Base. Royal Alaskan Movers has had the pleasure and honor of moving military service members and their families to and from these locations, and most everywhere else in Alaska, for many years.

We provide the required balance of local moving experience and global moving expertise to address every aspect of a DOD (Department of Defense)-sponsored move. Our staff will listen carefully to any concerns you or your family may have before, during, and after your relocation. (We are also happy to assist military service members and their families with any non-DOD-sponsored moves.)

If you have been selected for PCS to Fairbanks, Anchorage, or any other location in Alaska, Royal Alaskan Movers will provide everything needed to make your relocation as easy as possible.

All branches, all bases, all belongings

No matter where you may be moving from, or what you’ll be moving (your family, pets, vehicles, etc.), Royal Alaskan Movers is here to help every step of the way — from helping plan your relocation to unpacking and assembling furniture or equipment at your new home.

The main reason the military has long-relied on Royal Alaskan Movers for relocating personnel is our experience in military relocations in general — which, through our sister companies extends to Hawaii, Guam, and the rest of the world.

We understand and know how to address the unique challenges presented to men and women in uniform when moving to Alaska. Rest assured that whether you’re moving just yourself or your entire family, you’ll be in good hands for the duration of your relocation.

We’re proud to have helped members from multiple divisions across multiple locations in Alaska, too: Air Force members to Eielson, Army members to Fort Richardson, and more.

What you need to know about life and living in Alaska

If you’re moving to Anchorage or Fairbanks (where a majority of military personnel are located), you’ll be pleased to know that you can expect the same basic amenities you would find in any major American city: lots of shops, restaurants, and more.

And the weather? While you may be picturing an endless field of snow and ice, Alaska weather is, in fact, milder than what you often encounter in a midwestern winter in the lower 48. Summers are simply beautiful, too, with temperatures rising into the 80s.
